Finally time has come when I am going to start tasting each variant of
Black Dog Scotch. Today is a lovely Sunday and I am planning to get into mood
to start sipping into the centenary edition of Black Dog Scotch. Ambience has
to be apt for the occasion and I Asked my wife to arrange for some dim lighting
in the living room, while I ventured into the kitchen to arrange for some light
snacks to munch while I sip on the scotch.
Life and more...
Life has so much to offer other than food. Here is my take.

Must know Scotch Terms - 2
So while we have covered most common terms here are few more one must know:
Brand Name?
The brand name featured on the label is usually the same as the distillery name (for example, the Talisker Distillery labels its whiskies with the Talisker name). Indeed, the SWR prohibit bottlers from using a distillery name when the whisky was not made there.

Must know Scotch Terms - 1
I love my hobby of reading and appreciating the Scotch which is giving me a great kick (at times also the opportunity to show off amongst friends). This lovely drink which so far was only a means to relax in the evening and a way to connect with friends is now becoming a topic of academic interest for me.
Here are some of the common terms we should be aware of.

Making of the Scotch
It is important to understand the process behind scotch preparation. I never realised understanding the process help appreciate the finer nuances until I recently visited a winery. Wikipedia is a very helpful tool and I have edited the information from there so that it is easily understood.
Scotch whisky (often referred to simply as "Scotch") is malt whisky or grain whisky made in Scotland. All Scotch whisky was originally made from malt barley. Commercial distilleries began introducing whisky made from wheat and rye in the late eighteenth century.

Variants and Pricing of Black Dog in Gurgaon
Gurgaon has no dearth of wine shops. Post 7 pm you may not get milk for
kids, but booze is anytime available. So I decided to walk up to nearby shop
(available within 500mtrs from my home) to both find out the prices and get a
bottle each of all the Black Dog variants so as to decide if within this scotch
brand, I particularly like any one more. Another purpose was to see if I can
get Black Dog readily available on an emergency ;-)
